Street Scenes 1

A brass band playing on a corner of Canal Street, just outside the French Quarter.

Bourbon Street

More Bourbon Street and a message someone left in a doorway on Royal Street (I think).

A shop on Jackson Square.

Cafe du Monde, where they serve nothing but beignets (French doughnuts),
coffee, milk and orange juice. The place is open 24 hours every day.

A typical courtyard in the French Quarter.

I met some people who were riding art bikes. I had seen plenty of art cars before,
but never art bikes. The riders were artists from out of town - I think they said they
were from St. Louis.

People often hang Mardi Gras beads from their railings.

This struck me as a little odd.
