Lakeview
- Part 3
This park runs along the length of
Fleur De Lis Street.
This is one of the few houses I saw
that looked like it hadn't been worked on at all.
Even empty lots have to be maintained.
Someone used this statue of a dog to
personalize what's left of their property. Maybe this dog used to
occupy a spot on a knick-knack shelf in the home that used to be here.
I saw a few of these signs around the
Lakeview neighborhood. I don't know what the story is. The Army Corps
of Engineers is responsible to building and maintaining the floodwalls
in New Orleans. My guess is that there's a plan to condemn some
property under eminent domain, but I don't know why the Corps would be
involved with that.
